14 Health Benefits of Mint Essential Oil

Introduction

Mint essential oil as I often call it is a very versatile oil and one that I often keep by my bedside for various reasons.  There are other essential oils for various health management but I find mint oil quite  standing in a lot of ways.  if you are close to me you will also notice that I often talk about mint oil almost above all other essential oils.   Here are the top 13 reasons why it will always  be top on my list of essential oils:

1.  Aids Digestion:

Top on my list of the benefits of  this oil is its ability to aid digestion.  As we get older digestive health poses some problems especially with some protein rich  foods like beans,  black-eyed cow peas and other protein sources this is an area this oil  is quite very outstanding and useful. anytime you consume foods that produces gas it's important to keep the oil by your side, In fact it's a handy oil  for me for several years now.  You can easily inhale it from the bottle and it will deliver results.  it helps to support digestion generally with such foods that are difficult to digest,  so inhaling it is enough or you can use steam water to steam it in hot water and it will deliver result although some people also added to water and drink I hardly do this because I perceive it may be strong for me.  Though several persons have used it when I recommended it for them and they testified that they added a drop or two with water and drank and it was very very okay for them.  So there is no harm in trying it,  if you think your  system is strong enough to take it cuz I perceive it may be too  strong for me just like most essential oils too.

2.  Helps expel  stomach Gas

Another very interesting aspect of this oil is expelling gas from the intestine most times the problem we have is gas when we can't sleep at times it's gas when we have stomach upset its gas, several things that gas causes, sometimes when you feel bloated it is gas that is in  there and inhaling this oil, you will notice the gas  as they are going out of your body through the anus or maybe belching but you will just notice that it's going out.  So when these gases go out most of  your health problems are reduced and bacteria activities also. because I have noticed that  the presence of gas acts as  a plus or support for the bacteria's and the viruses that attack us and some of them even helped to produce the gas so that it will support what they are doing but if you can expel those gas I think there won't  be much trouble again and so for this very reason, I like to use it when I take things like black eyed cowpea or beans I saw that I had better sleep so they'll be no traces of gas and when there is no trace of gas you will notice a flatter tummy meaning that your tummy will not look protruding or bloated which is very very good health-wise.

3.  Tones down blood sugar:

Another interesting aspect of this oil is its  ability to tone down blood sugar in a peculiar way.   Those who are pre-diabetic or diabetic can include this oil in their list of health support because as it aids  digestion,  insulin resistance  had to be  broken when gas and other obstacles are taken out.   it  helps to support the digestion and reduce the insulin  resistance that is posed by this.   Again I lately observed this year and went to do some study about it and found out that somehow it supports   fight against diabetes too and that even made me to have it the more and to keep more of it but if you have history of diabetes or you think you are hereby reached a certain age where diabetes becomes a concern then you can have this oil and inhale  occasionally when you eat in the evening or even first thing in the morning to help push waste out of the body.

4.  Reduces stress:

During times of extreme stress this oil is very very useful especially when you want to do deep breathing,  it really helps a lot with clearing the waste from the body it helps to calm the body down and that feeling of wellness will be there it's the one oil I find very useful in this aspect of deep breathing.  Among other oils  this one goes down very well with me mint essential oil because it helps to reduce stress general all kinds of stress and calm you down to sleep usually just a few drops on The  Palms and then inhaling it while on the bed and breathing out as we already know.    if you have pains you will notice this a generally reduction in the pain.

5.  Warms up the body during cold weather

It  is good to have this oil  most times when you wash cloths or have contact with cold water or during the cold during cold you may noticed something like sneezing something like coldness on your feet or your hands you do not even need to rub this oil on your body just merely inhaling it will send it moving around your body and dispel any sign of cold before now when I wash some clothes or happen to have contact with rain or water a few minutes the next thing I will  notice is coldness all over even trying to move up to the heart but since the use of this oil I noticed that it doesn't happen again once I finished having contact with water just go and inhale  my oil and that's all you may also try it if you  if you suspect something like cold.  It  warms you up and quickly  chase the cold away and all those runny nose and all the  accompanying  signs signs that come with cold  will just disappear and if there are even serious bacteria attached, it kills and destroys them.

6. Reduces menopausal symptom

I have also found it useful for menopausal women and men  who have  attained  their menopause stage in life and are just coping and trying to live a happy life and age gracefully this is an oil I will recommend you keep around you anytime you'll feel those symptoms like  depression symptoms of anxiety and similar signs, you can just inhale it a little and then you will notice a kind of calmness generally.

7.  Reduces bacterial and fungal activities

it is also one of the top oils that helps to reduce bacteria and fungal activities in the if you suffer frequent bacteria attacks microbes, fungal activities and similar conditions,  then it  is important to have  oil to this oil frequently around and you use ìt regularly their load, talking of fungal growth and bacteria will be reduced at all times in our body.

8.  Reduces inflammations and pains:

It is also great for reducing inflammation and pains, each  time Imyou  suspect that you have been engaged in strenuous activities which may require analgesic by some people you can rely on the oil to reduce inflammations  even sinuses like runny nose and then general body pains which sometimes if not controlled could go around the entire body attacking other organs.  This antiviral  effect is the next thing I want to talk about why I like the oil so much.

9.  Antiviral Properties:

This is also another interesting aspect of the oil,  that I cherish especially during the Covid19,  since the virus was said to most times commence  from the nose which led to the wearing of masks and its  ability to quickly go viral moving round the  entire body so I was always keeping this one  really handy and it was helping me to reduce those symptoms that frightened  us most then, like watery nose coughing and all of that.   So if you suspect things like a viral  or viral attack or an epidemic or  pandemic around.  something like that you can also start using the oil more frequently to strengthen your immunity generally and reduce chances of being attacked by the virus if already attacked reduce chances of its going viral.

10.  Improves Oral Health

It improves  oral health generally and kills germs and not only does it kill germs it also fights  bad breath for those who are going through bad breath they can also use it  occasionally by inhalation or just drop in a warm water and use it to rinse or gaggle and of course we know that most good toothpastes are made using mint oil or other min derivatives because of its ability to support oral  health generally as I believe.

11.  Supports Kidney Health

Without doubt it is also a great  support for  kidney health in a lot of ways and I will encourage anybody or those  that want to their  support their kidney or even undergoing kidney issues to begin to include the oil moderately, because whenever the kidney is under pressure or needs help probably  due to too much toxins in the body or other things like gas or indigestion because that is also an area that it supports the kidney because of this aiding digestion.  helping the body move toxins  out of the body because one of the biggest challenge of the kidney is waste removal, it is involved a lot in waste removal and toxins removal so since this oil  also supports  moving out these toxins,   it supports the kidney in this way.

12.  Fights Constipation:

Constipation seems to be more common amongst women and if you can deal with constipation most other  problems will be gone or saved  as a matter of fact and this is an aspect that, it  is also  quite handy and useful it works instantly when you inhale it in the morning and you have been experiencing chronic constipation if you do not go and pooh  immediately you will notice a slight release  in your intestine moving gas away, followed by other wastes in your stomach which is sending you a signal that something is moving already and this is a very important aspect of our health,, managing constipation, and supporting colon health by doing this function.

13.  Supports Digestive Health

By helping remove gas it is supporting digestive health and several other things already mentioned and all  ends up in supporting digestive health especially in the area of taking out the gas because the gas sponsors most other digestive problems.

14. Wards off some kind of headache

I also know that some kind of minor headaches  too be dealt with just by inhaling the oil or using it for steam inhalation can Ward off some headaches.

Cautions

There are numerous other benefits of this essential oil which time may not permit me to begin to write all here but suffice it to say that it's a very beneficial and versatile oik  although there are a few cautions  about the oil which I need also to state and one of such is that those who are managing high blood pressure should also be aware of it because of its effects of acting as an expectorant so it may tend to push up the blood pressure if the person is already having it and those who are not having the high blood pressure frequent use of the oil may help to alleviate it and in this sense is good for those who suffer low blood pressure to also enjoy it because using it will help to be pushing the blood pressure slightly up instead of going down so in this regard it favours those experience low blood pressure or normal blood pressure another group of people who should not also take it are  those who are in their first trimester of pregnancy, it  should also not be involved in mint oil because of it expectorant behaviour and may  tend to push out the foetus at the formative stage leading to miscarriage.  Also those with stomach ulcers should use it moderately.

Summary:

It's also important not to use it too frequently too much all too frequently using it may cause it to not give that affects so much  and then you may not be enjoying the aroma again. This is based on my usage of the oil you may start feeling as if you don't need it or don't ever  want it again and that  is a feeling of something being too much or toxic in your body.   So it's better to use it and then take a break then use it again and then we can use for like 2 to 3 days and then take a break and most essential oils also tend to behave this way from my usage of them

Health benefits of yoghurt

  • Introduction
  • We shall look at the topic under the following headings:
1.   What is yoghurt/also origin
2.   Types of yoghurt
3.   Why You should learn to make your own yoghurt
4.  Important facts you should know about yoghurt
5. What is probiotics
6.  Health Benefits of Yoghurt
7.  When do I need yoghurt
8.  How to make your own yoghurt.
Materials you will need

1.  Yoghurt Origin/definition

The word yogurt comes from Turkey and refers to a tart, thick milk. However, the origin of yogurt is not singular. Yogurt can be found in nearly every culture that has kept animals for milk and it was likely discovered in similar ways in each region.

When fresh milk is left in a container with friendly bacteria, the milk thickens and develops a delicious, sour taste. The lactic acid produced by the fermentation process also acts as a preservative, helping the cultured milk stay fresh longer. This is the best version of yoghurt. Though most yoghurts in our supermarket are far from this.

Yoghurt is in our healthy food list, it has numerous health benefits.  However going round the markets, supermarkets and other health shops, found out that good and healthy yoghurts with probiotics are nowhere or rather difficult to find.

It then became necessary to teach us about this healthy food, it's benefits and how to make it at home through a special seminar like this one. So take time to read through, I have included videos for those of us better at listening than reading.

Preparation and consumption of different types of yogurt is in prevelence unique to various culture and traditions world over. Yogurt use dates back to many centuris presribed for its prebiotic, and easy digesting properties.
2.  Types of yoghurt

There are two main categories of yoghurt

1.  Low fat

2.  Full fat

Depending  on your choice, full fat or low fat.  Your choice in most cases is determined by  what you want to achieve.

There are also different varieties of yoghurt dependjng again on their content and mode of preparation. The examples below of varying versions  are also available with added probiotics:

#Greek yogurt

This contains double the protein of conventional yogurt.

#Organic yogurt made with organic milk and possibly other organic ingredients

#Lactose free yogurt
vegan yogurt (for example, soy, almond, cashew, hemp, oat, flax, and coconut milk yogurts)

Kefir

Kefir is a liquid yogurt for drinking. It contains probiotics and is easy to make at home by adding kefir grains to milk and leaving it to stand for 12 to 24 hours.  Though the word kefir may not be familiar to you us as it foreign, but in its place, millet is prepared in the same way.  It is just the name that may sound different. I have tasted the Nigerian version of this and it tastes nice also but the fact that I am used to boiling or cooking my millet has discouraged me from preparing it for my myself and family despite having enjoyed it from supermarkets.

Although cow's milk is employed to a larger extent in processing yoghurt, it can also be prepared using buffalo, goat, sheep and soy milk and other grains  to which starter culture is usually  added.

Greek yogurt

Greek yogurt has a higher protein content than other yogurts, but it contains less calcium.
Greek yogurt is thick and creamy. It can withstand heat better than regular yogurt

Low fat or non-fat

Low-fat, or reduced-fat yogurt, is made with 2-percent milk. Non-fat yogurt is made with zero percent or skim milk.

3.  Why you should make your own yoghurt at home.

When I discovered the benefits of yoghurt as a healing food.  I went out searching for unsweetened yoghurt with probiotics, surprisingly, it was no where to be found, then I considered making my own.

Here are more reasons to consider making 3.  Why you should make your own yoghurt at home.

Here are more reasons to consider making your own yoghurt:

  Added flavors and fats

Most of these yogurts are available in both flavored and unflavored varieties. The fat content of these yogurts cannot be ascertained if you are watching your weight.
Some manufacturers  add sugar, salt  and other artificial flavors to their yogurts to improve the taste.

People may be tempted to buy yogurts containing healthful sounding ingredients, such as granola and fruit, unsweetened etc, yet, it may not be what you thought or want.

Also, these varieties may contain a significant amount of total carbs and added sugar. It is usually best to avoid yogurt products that contain added ingredients. Be sure to check product labels if in doubt, better still,  try making  your own. own yoghurt:

4.  Important facts you should know about yoghurt

#Yogurt is made by fermenting milk wth a yogurt culture.

#Health benefits can include promoting bone health and aiding digestion.

#Some yogurts contain active, living bacteria known as probiotics, which can help keep the intestines healthy. While some do not, but only packed full with yoghurt flavors.  Avoid them

#Yogurt products that go through heat treatment have no active bacteria, reducing the health benefits.
Yogurt-covered raisins are an example.

#Yogurts contain calcium, vitamins B6 and B12, riboflavin, potassium, and magnesium. The amounts depend on the type.

Good home made Yoghurt is a healing food.

Fermented dairy products with active bacterial cultures are one of the most common sources of probiotics;
Probiotic milk products may be beneficial in alleviating symptoms for a number of gastrointestinal conditions, including Helicobacter pylori infection, irritable bowel syndrome and antibiotic-associated diarrhea;
Milk products with probiotics may improve gut microbiota, have an immunomodulatory effect, and thus maintain overall health.

6.  Health Benefits of Yoghurt.

The health benefits of yoghurt is derived from the presence of active live culture. Here are some of the benefits to expect from a quality healthy yoghurt.

7.  When do You need yoghurt?

get the most of health benefits from yogurt, it is recommended to be consumed at the following times:

Breakfast

Eating yogurt as a breakfast menu is very good for those of you who want to lose weight. The nutritional content is enough to feed and energize the body in the morning. In addition, digestive health will be maintained.

Snack

Choosing yogurt as a snack is not only safe for weight, it is also good for maintaining mood. A study shows that consuming yogurt gives the similar effect as chocolate, it could make you feel happier after consuming it.

After eating

It’s better to consume yogurt as a dessert instead of choosing other products that contains high quantity of sugar.  Yogurt can help the body reduce cholesterol in the blood that way.

When traveling
When traveling and visiting a new place, we will be vulnerable to diarrhea, stomach cramps, and nausea. Usually this is caused by bacteria from food. Yogurt can help overcome this.

Among those four, it turns out that the best option to consume yogurt is during breakfast or on an empty stomach. This is because good bacteria or probiotics in yogurt must arrive at the large intestine in a live condition to effectively maintain digestion and health. If yogurt is consumed after a meal, the good bacteria or probiotic will be defunct due to the exposure of stomach acid during digestion process of food.

Actually, on an empty stomach, the stomach will also produce stomach acid. The acid amount is not as much as when the food has entered the stomach. The amount of stomach acid that is not too much when the empty stomach is claimed to be safe for effectiveness and the activity of yogurt bacteria maintain digestive health.

However, consuming yogurt on an empty stomach is not recommended for those who have problems with the stomach. For example, people with chronic gastritis is recommended to give a break at least one hour after having a full meal prior to consuming yogurt.

In summary

if you choose to buy yoghurt from supermarkets, ensure to read labels due to added flavours and Ingredients, you do not need. Moderation is still required in consuming yoghurt.

You need yoghurt after a dose of antibiotics or similar drugs.

Your need yoghurt if you notice poor digestion  of foods and chronic constipation, mostly caused by overgrowth of yeast.

Latest Update on My Corn nuts

Introduction:

My  Corn nuts as I prefer to call it  is actually a home made fermented nuts made from yellow corn, dry fried with spices as a snack for diabetics, prediabetics and other health conscious persons.

Getting a perfect healthy snack for older adults diabetics and even those with high blood pressure has not been an easy task  and it is in the search for such a snack that will not raise blood sugar that will fibre, energy with natural nutrients with no added transats,  help reduce cholesterol that will support the eyes that will be  low in calorie and supports health generally that brought  the idea of the fermented corn nuts.   Yes this particular snack may not be popular among many people but putting knowledge to work has made it to be, what are the benefits of this snack and what are the latest update that I think we should know my Corn Nuts . here are the type of corn to use and why.

Yellow Corn

Corn is a popular Grain and one of the cheapest before now although no grain is cheap in terms of cheap as at today but we are more concerned about the nutrients in it.  Corn comes in varying colours anf can be used to prepare food for growing children such as pap it could also be mixed with other healthy protein-rich seeds or nuts to make healthy snacks too.  Such as the corn and peanuts called dankwa, or some type of  kuli kuli. It makes a great food for helping to wind up children as a grown up but in addition to this, it is used to prepare some cereals for all kinds of individuals first cereal like Corn Flakes and other kinds of corn products. However,  the idea of corn nut is as a result of research and knowledge on how to incorporate such foods into the diet of the health-conscious particularly diabetics and pre-diabetics to be able to provide essential nutrients without affecting the blood sugar yellow corn as we all know is a source of the Beta carotene which the body converts into vitamin A supporting the eyes the skin and several other benefits but this is not the interesting aspect of this  corn 🌽 nut. thr interesting part of it is the fermentation and why must it go through fermentation,  it has to be fermented for 3 days in the water or maximum of 4 days and in this case I had to use it to make it to four days .  the better idea  is to allow the bacteria's to act on it and that is the essence of fermenting foods and for easy digestibility,  for the assimilation of the nutrients by the body and for several other benefits and to provide probiotics for the gut I have actually been using it since mid 2022 till date and been trying to improve on each batch.  This time, the idea is to make it softer during chewing.  There are times, when we desperately need to chew something, this snack is made for such times.

My Experience Since Using My  Corn Nuts

I actually began to use this nut which is homemade sometimes in 2022 been fermenting it and then dry frying it at home on several occasions but over time I noticed that it is usually hard when consuming or chewing it is hard so I thought of something that will make it soft at least naturally after the frying I also added a few spices like cinnamon to also help with reduce its effect on blood sugar if any

I have been  adding some spices like ginger powder, cinnamon powder. Cayenne pepper powder, was  still lightly hard yet, then the latest one was to drop some sprinkle of cold pressed coconut oil on it while frying to see the effect and I want to report hear that the production came out well and softer too. the addition of coconut oil and also to provide some form of oil for the nut when chewing to aid its digestion and provide more immune support from coconut oil because they require some amount of fat a little to avoid the harshness on  the intestine and to make it easy for its  absorption even when the person chooses  not to add any other or because usually people will pair  it with peanut or any  other nut as a protein to boost  its nutrients but in this case. I neaded to sprinkle it  while frying to see the effect towards   softening it and it worked.  The outcome was a better and softer production as you can see in the image you may have to also do it  using normal coconut oil instead of cold pressed.

Here are how I enjoy the corn nuts.

With these latest additions. It is not only tasty but it's easier to chew and can always present  the temptation  to eat large quantity.  Since I started consuming it, I've not ever experienced something like cough that you would expect chewing rough foods like it. It  sounds cranky and dried like that and you may expect things like cough or itchy throat consuming such snacks,  heart problems and some other unpleasant feelings but I'm glad to report that I've never experienced any such why consuming the My Corn nut and it does not also lead to increase in blood sugar because I usually consume it with a little other seeds or nuts like  peanut for added protein sometimes a little cashew nut, occasionally African breadfruit sometimes a little  any other protein-rich  you think  or consider okay to pair it or just chew it alone since it is now soaked with a little sea salr, and added spices and coconut oil. It is filling and digests easily  does not form gas, because of the fermentation.  I have been taking  since 2022 without any effects instead of any negative effects where are some of the things I noticed.

Constipation:

It deals with constipation especially chronic constipation when you consume it moderately with some nuts  and then take enough water,   noticed a better gut health and bowel movement it's great for constipation because of the fibre and the fermentation of it.

Supports Gut Health:

As we all and well call fermented foods are good for gut health because of the presence of the bacteria.  I mean  active bacterias in the fermented food and this is mostly with grains so it's expected that this particular snack is loaded with live cultures bacteria.  As it is  expected in all fermented foods

 Support digestive health

Provides support for the digestion and then it helps make it easier for our digestion abd for absorption too Thanks the activities of bacterias due to its  fermentation.

Supports brain health:

as well all sorts of nursing some matter of fact and all the nutrient that helps to support the brain and you will notice it when you take it out and put it on 10 minutes or so addition to supporting brain health is support the skin helps because better carotene also helps with skin and body converted to vitamin A helping with College information and this is also noticed and noticeably in this particular food and other benefits is the eyes is important to support our eyes are nothing when I when I noticed some itching and other issues having exhausted my last reply had to quickly grow and start the process of another one no one will talk of fermentation formation takes days this one takes like 4 days is usually on the fourth day and the most food today we consumed her fast and the faster foods are not the best because we may not have the patience to wait for a whole 3 or 4 days and after that you start to fry and on a low heat and all of that I'm going to add all these prices are all this so it's a process that takes long and these days people don't have patience for a food that takes time to prepare like this or allowed to ferment and this is actually the best and this is what the body usually will need from us and this particular food is there a super adDition for all individuals because of it's positive effect on the health generally

It also has a positive effect on cholesterol:

This is due to the presence of fibre so you will notice a feeling of wellness and then because of the bulk nature of your  stool,  most of the cholesterol are also dealt with with this benefit of bulking the stool in addition the fermentation of the Corn makes it a food in a way that you can consume it at any time too.    it it has never posed any problem  in the morning afternoon,  or night. Though  I actually tried it at all times and noticed that it does not really matter but the least time I consume it is at night because of the fact that it still settlea as fat. I don't like  consuming at night because I do not want weight gain.

How To Prepare

After frying it with the addition of spices like dried ginger,   cinnamon powder and some cayenne pepper powder usually these spices are there towards the end of the Frying it at the beginning or the middle of the find the coal coconut oil is added it does not really have to be cold pressed coconut oil you can use any coconut oil but I use compressed since it's all I have I don't have the other hot pressed oil so I normally added about to hang up phone in there or almost about half cup full 2 or one tablespoon of it and then keep trying until when is getting brown then I will add the spices the ginger powder.  the Cinnamon powder, and cayenn pepper powder during frying that is towards the end.  During  the fermentation I have also devised a way to add some sea salt on the second day this is also to aid digestion to help to and it is also in the effort to see a way to soften  too and to improve overall digestibility  adding some sea salt the second day  of the fermentation to continue to ferment while I was changing the water and that means that there was no need again to add of course the Rocky sea salt will not be easy to be added even if you want to add it so that will not need to add any salt anymore too after adding the salt to allow you to take it a little quantity to sink into the system so to give it  better taste  too.

Storing my Corn Nuts:  Usually allow the fried corn nuts to cool and store in bottles. Not plastics, no need for refrigeration.

Summary:

With this latest update the addition of coconut oil I think we can expect those of us who want to try to expect a softer version of our corn Nuts it's the brainchild of this  site  admin and our group that I found I decided to put  knowledge together on my own based on the knowledge of what other things can do and so you see beautiful snack that you can enjoy  at any time of the day in order to boost health instead of snacking on bread, biscuits with all kinds of processed foods that helps destroy our immune system only remember that you must consume moderately because moderation is our rule.

Home Remedies for constipation

Introduction

Life truly is in the gut. A clean, healthy and happy body begins from your gut. It is important for waste products to go out of our tummy regularly, when we cannot pooh for up to three days or more. Then we call it constipation and home remedies are the best to help free yourself again. Here are some foods that helps.

Fish Oil

Omega-3 fatty acids are thought to play a role in a large number of bodily functions, including digestion. Some studies have shown that omega-3s can be helpful in managing symptoms of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, which include constipation.

Fish oil, derived either from diet or in supplement form, is a rich source of these fatty acids. Specifically, cold-water fish such as salmon, mackerel, sardines, tuna, and herring contain uncommon acids that helps too

Castor Oil

Castor oil is a yellowish liquid that can be used as a home remedy for constipation because of its laxative property. One study in Nigeria found that oral castor oil helped children with chronic constipation to move their bowels. An upside to castor oil for constipation is that it works quickly.

For that same reason, however, castor oil should be cautiously administered as a constipation remedy. It should not be taken at bedtime, due to its quick effects. Another downside to this constipation remedy is that it tastes bad, so it is recommended that the castor oil be chilled and mixed with a sweetener such as orange juice. Castor oil is generally considered safe, but it can lead to overdose if taken in large amounts.

Fiber

One of the best known home remedies for constipation is fiber. The recommended dosage - 20 to 35 grams per day - can be found in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Fiber is also a convenient constipation remedy since most people already have these items in their homes. Fiber supplements such as psyllium (Metamucil) or methylcellulose (Citrucel) can be used as well.

The one downside to using fiber as a constipation home remedy is that it can actually make constipation worse if you don't drink plenty of water with it. For the fiber to help alleviate constipation, it needs fluids to help move it through the digestive system. Fiber derived from supplements especially must be taken with water in order to avoid worsening constipation.

Herbs

Herbal therapy is one of the oldest forms of constipation treatments - numerous cultures around the world have used herbs to cure constipation for thousands of years. This tried-and-true constipation therapy is generally divided into two categories: bulk-forming and stimulant laxatives.

Commonly used bulk-forming herbal laxatives include flaxseed, fenugreek, and barley. If you opt for flaxseed as a constipation remedy, you should remember that flaxseed oil is different from the actual flaxseeds, which are available as whole or crushed seeds; flaxseed oil is not a constipation remedy. Stimulant herbs for constipation include senna, Cascara segrada, and aloe.

Probiotics

Probiotics are the bacteria inside our intestines that promote digestion. Examples of probiotics are Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, and Sacchromyces boulardi, and they are available in supplement form and some foods, such as yogurt. Some studies have shown that probiotics are an effective non-drug cure for constipation. Like fiber, probiotics are a relatively easy home cure for constipation because they are available in foods that many families already have in the refrigerator.

Water therapy.

Nothing works better and cheaper than water therapy for constipation. Remember, water therapy is our culture. In observing Water Therapy you should avoid late night meals. No meal after 7pm, then not less than six glasses of warm water on empty stomach upon waking up, older adults can add occasional lime or lemon juice to their water therapy and let it be warm to help activate internal organs.

Green apple with cucumber on empty stomach

This also works, other beneficial spices are garlic, ginger, cloves, pineapples, Oranges, (pawpaw) in moderation due to sugar. If you are diabetic, then do not take the fruit, boil the leaves, it works perfectly too, infect I have since stopped consuming the fruit due to sugar, I boil the leaves instead. Remember not to cover the pot while boiling your pawpaw leaves.

Coffee

Coffee mixed with soya powder or dates powder and other herbs works for me also in certain cases. One fact about constipation is that it depends on the cause, some home remedies for constipation won't work until you have a good night's sleep🙄🙄😭then the toxins will be release from the liver and kidney. Stress makes everything worse including constipation.
Food is our medicine fans, and we believe in prevention too.

Other beneficial foods for constipation are:

Beets, carrots, moringa leaves, dates fruit moringa seeds and all green veggies works too. Cabbage makes the list, others are sweet potatoes, black pepper, eggs, bananas, edible cassava tuber, walnuts, Dates, avocadoes, cold pressed olive oil and coconut oil, raw bitter leaf partly,  washed bitterleaf works  if it was due to much bread or sugar, moderate exercise. Remember we must pursue the cause before the cure. Never joke with constipation, a healthy body begins from there.

In summary,
If you have not poohed for four days or more, do not panick, just drop your message on telegram platform. Someone may help you out. We believe in prevention.

Symptoms of Low Iron and how to fix it

Introduction

Iron is an important mineral for various activities in the body. Without iron a lot of things cannot work in the body.  Two main  types of iron have been identified.  Heme iron and non heme iron.  Heme iron are mostly those that come from animal protein and are   more easily absorbed and some iron cannot be easily absorbed non heme iron. some foods  such as grains contain iron but some of these irons have restrictive anti-nutrients that makes it not easily accessed and that is why it is important to ensure that we include a little bit of animal protein in our diet instead of just going only plant-based and grains.

Iron deficiency is not so common among older adults, teenagers especially teenage girls are more committed to having  iron deficiency and only in rare cases do we have iron deficiency in older adults and sometimes maybe due to some health challenges or maybe accidents restrictive dieting due to health problems and a host of other factors could lead to iron deficiency in older adults and when iron deficiency occurs,  almost everything in the body does not work well anymore because the cells cannot even be oxygenated and without oxygen in the cells they cannot function optimally.  it is sufficient iron that enables this work to be done so it is important to ensure that there is enough iron in the body coming from the foods we eat.

Some common symptoms of iron deficiency includes:

Coldness all over the body.

feeling dizzy

insomnia

extreme tiredness

 Anxiety attacks

 Shortness of breath

Inflamed tongues

Frequent headaches especially in the morning

Increased inflammations

Increased Depression feelings

Washed out skin

Slow healing of wounds

Low immunity against diseases

The above symptoms are just a few of the numerous symptoms and sometimes unexplainable symptoms and general feeling of being unwell including loss of appetite.  If you suspect low iron or you are experiencing more of these symptom, I do not suggest or recommend you go for blood tonic because most of these over the counter tonics are highly inflammatory and in some cases does not solve the problem, the best and tested way I have known  is to include iron rich foods and ensure you are consuming variety, iron is found in fruits, vegetable, grains, meat, nuts , seeds and even fatty foods.  As already highlighted some iron are categorised as heme iron, these are easily understood and absorbed by our body like sardines, beaf,  eggs . None Heme iron are not easily absorbed like those found in most grains and some synthetic iron from  multivitamins tablets that most people clamour for.

Here are top iron rich foods to include in your diet if you need iron naturally:

Soyabeans

Beets root

Beaf

Moringa leaves

Dates

Chia seeds

Cinnamon

Tomatoes

Soghurm Bicolour

Millet

Carrot

Kale

Hemp seeds

Hibiscus flower tea

Black eyed cowpea

Black pepper

Broccoli

Sweet potatoes

Avocadoes

Almonds

Green peas

Mangoes

Pawpaw fruit

Pumpkin seeds

Cocoa

Pumpkin leaves (Ugu)

Pomegranate fruit

Sardines

Unriped plantain

Spinach

Summary

There are a lot of  other foods that boosts iron in the body, older adults should however beware of consuming too much of iron rich foods as too much iron may increase risk of bacteria attack or infection.  It is also important to consume vitamin C Rich foods  to help the absorption of iron in the  body.  Moderation remains our rule

Here are 7 Top Reasons why Almond is My No 1

Introduction

Almonds may not be so common like most nuts but I have recently put it on  top list of my most liked nuts. Here are just 7 top reasons why it has earned that position.

 1. Protects the Heart

The heart appears to be one of the most important organs of the body because once it stops working, then it's over. several things seems to hunt this important organ daily such as cholesterol, excess body wright, stress, nutrients deficiency like vitamin E, calcium, magnesium and other heart supporting foods and these are all loaded in almonds nuts. I personally notice that anytime I have heart related issues usually before bed, consuming 3 or 4 soaked as after removing the peels usually fix it. It is important for older adults to have almonds at home if available

 2. Reduces signs of Aging:

Obviously nobody wants to look or feel older than the actual age and important nutrients like Vitamins E, calcium are needed to achieve this. The brain is another aspect of the human body that needs protection and almonds is a brain food.

  3. Regulates blood Sugar

High blood sugar and high blood pressure are top on the list of ailments that troubles older adults. Almonds is particularly good in providing protection against diabetes and high blood pressure but we must not overdo is because it is dense in nutrient. maximum of 4 or 5   nuts should be okay. Diabetics and prediabetics can con prediabetics can moderately consume almonds without spike in sugar or inflammations.

  4. Brain Support:

The brain needs support and very few foods contain brain supporting nutrients but the good news is that almonds is a Super food for brain Health. It could be consumed in the morning too, though I prefer it at night as it calms my brain and defeats insomnia which is common amongst women during menopause.

5. Fights insomnia:

When falling asleep or staying asleep begins to pose a problem which will ultimately affect the overall health,  it  is important to quickly incorporate this healthy nut into the diet to defeat insomnia which if neglected will invite other health problems. It is important not to overdo it so as not better to soak the quantity for each day. staying too often long in water is not good too. Maximum of overnight soaking is okay. It is okay also to reduce consuming much of inflammatory nuts like peanuts if you are incorporating almonds because nuts are generally high in calorie. moderation is our rule

 6.  Fights Constipation:

Almond is rich in fibre and helps tackle constipation. Although it requires some hours after consuming almonds followed by sufficient water to get this benefit.

7.  Great for Reducing Bad Cholesterol

The presence of mono unsaturated in almonds makes it great for those who want to lower their bad cholesterol.  It is a source of fibre too.

Other Reasons  to include Almonds in your diet.  It helps with weight loss being a source of calcium, protein and fibre, these nutrients are needed for a good weight loss program.  It supplies energy thar lasts because it is dense in nutrition.  This aspect of nutrients density makes it great for fighting diseases.  The type of fats found in almonds does not clog arteries and will make a good addition for those managing inflammations and pains.  Only ensure to consume moderately.  7 or 8 nuts in a day is what I take depending on if other nuts were consumed the same day.

Summary:

Best time to consume almond in my view is either on empty stomach in the morning after water therapy, or last thing at night and if at night not more than 4 nuts to avoid feeling uncomfortable and to help it deal with insomnia too.

Consider Adding Cassava leaves tea amongst your non caffeinated teas

Introduction:

Cassava root has been food for several years and centuries but only recently did we start to hear about the leaves also we were made to understand that cassava is high in cyanide and needs fermentation and other special methods of cooking before the Cyanide in cassava root could be  reduced or  can make it edible but even then we have now come to know that  some species of cassava root can be boiled just like  yam or sweet potatoes and consumed with any source of your choice.

I have also successfully incorporated  the edible cassava root into my diet but not the leaves however,  recently I decided to also give the leaves  a try.  Several results from research and studies have revealed that the purple cassava leaves is rich in iron especially those  who are iron deficient or who are looking for how to boost their  iron level.  It is also said to have a lot of other nutrients like vitamin A and C  and some proteins but now I have also decided to try  the cassava leaves collected from the edible cassave root and stem and founded it does not  possess or not as harmful as we thought or were made to believe,  thanks to researchers.

Here are some of the health benefits of cassava leaves.  I gathered from edible cassava root. the leaves, and boiled as tea with the stem. but you must make sure that it is edible cassava leaf because I still feel that there are some species of cassava that are not edible, so ensure  that the one you want to consume is edible one and that is what I do instead of just seeing any cassava in the market or cassava root or Leaf and start consuming it, Get adequate information from the person giving or recommending a particular leave or cassava to you, that is what I did,  internet information is not enough.  The Health  benefits includes:

Source of vitamin A for eyes:

Tasting the cassava leaves tea in small amount after boiling about leaves with the stalk for about 10 minutes on normal gas light with the cover of the pot uncovered is the reason or basis of this article

It is also said to be good source of vitamin C and good for managing type 2 diabetes.  It is good  to consume in small amount first before consuming more, I have fully incorporated consuming the cassava roots by merely boiling and consuming with any sauce of my choice.

Cassava root is known for its positive effect on prostate enlarge and consumers have testified that it significantly controlled their frequency of urination.

I have consumed the cassava leaves tea which is said to be good for nerve  problems, while I do not doubt this but it will require someone with nerve problems to confirm this too.  In all, the tea tastes bland which will make it a good addition for diabetes,  I understand its great for rheumatic pains too.

Preparation;

Wash about 4 fresh  leaves including the stem

Add water and boil for about 10 minutes leaving the pot open throughout the cooking period, after that,

Sieve out the leaves and allow to cool and take about half cup.  I took mine on empty stomach after my water and lemon juice therapy,

Summary:

It is said to possess several other health benefits including killing worms, however its good to be sure that it is the edible cassava leaves tea you are using. The purple leaves is said to be even  richer in iron and  fighting off  iron  deficiency anaemia.  Better to start with little quantity first like myself and progress gradually.  As for the root, it is already part of my natural foods whenever I want to take carbohydrates and it tastes nice too with low glycemic index too, making fairly okay for diabetes if consumed with vegetables and proteins.

Cardiovascular Disease, Top Foods to Support your Heart

Introduction

What is cardiovascular disease:  this is a general term used to refer to all kinds of heart-related issues. There are different types of heart disease.  some maybe related to the veins,  the arteries, capillaries the rhythm of the heart, the blood vessels and various other aspects that may be malfunctioning.  so it is this malfunctioning of the Heart in various forms that are generally referred to as cardiovascular disease some of them as a result of the malfunction could lead to heart attack if undetected,  heart failure and other heart conditions.  It could lead to heart attack  and sometimes sudden death due to the malfunction of the heart in various forms.  this is just my own  simple definition of what cardiovascular disease  is all about then what are the symptoms of Heart disease or heart problems.

Symptoms:

There are varying  symptoms of heart of heart disease depending on the cause as there are also different causes. Varying with individuals some people experience pains , some does not come with pain maybe with some kind of an attack or the hearts inability to to to relax after  constricting, after stressful exercise and sometimes lack of magnesium or calcium also could make heart problems worse and that is why it is important to ensure that we get daily calcium in our diet because it is an electrolyte if we have sufficient calcium and magnesium in our diet  case or symptoms of heart problems may be reduced. some symptom ranges from irregular heartbeat, sometimes the beating is above normal or below normal so some of these symptoms also may show up when a test is done to check for the blood pressure the blood pressure instrument  sometimes detects an underlying or impending.  Maybe will some of the hidden symptoms that  have not manifested by showing the reading of the heart.   It is important to always also look at it because this shows also the symptoms that are hidden even when it is not manifested or known to us yet.

Those at Risk of Heart Disease

Those at risk of heart disease are usually the older adult but there are also those that may have  heart problems or disease or related issues as a result of obesity Gene genetic factor,  gender,  Others at risk  are the Diabetics, Prediabetics,  High blood pressure, On the gender aspect,  women are more likely to have heart disease or heart related issues especially menopausal women.  these women are the ones after the monthly periods have stopped, the heart seems to have much work to do because the usual waste  that goes out monthly has  stopped so it is important at this critical stage in the life of such women who are in the menopausal stage to ensure to include blood thinning foods in their diet regularly to reduce incidences of heart disease and also to include foods like garlic on a daily basis and other blood thinners to help support the heart it is also important to be mindful of daily calcium and magnesium these are top nutrients that helps to maintain the heart beat and rhythm.  Though I do not recommend taking calcium supplement., because they are mostly carbonated.  There other sources like soyabeans, chia seeds, tigernut and engaging in moderate exercise.

Worst Foods for your Heart:

There are foods that helps to support a healthy heart and it's important for us to know these foods and include them moderately  in our diet.  The heart is a very delicate organ and must be guarded because once it stops working, life ends with the person so that is one of the reasons why we should endeavour to keep our hearts healthy.   Other habits that can endanger our heart is being overweight,  engaging in too much stress consuming fried foods and  consuming too much calorific foods and then also consuming too much of processed foods and sugary foods.   These are among the foods that does not support a healthy heart in addition to this we also need to reduce as much as possible trans fats in our diet,  too much cholesterol,  animal protein,  too much  refined table salt in the diet is bad for the heart.   A more plant-based diet is healthier for the heart and poor  hydration, poor  sleep.  Insufficient sufficient sleep are all very dangerous and does not support a healthy heart.

Another food that I have noticed that is very bad for the heart is filled with so much omega-6 fats like peanuts specially when taking too much,  too much of caffeine is also bad for our heart too  Avoiding these things and maintaining a healthy body weight will help us maintain a healthy heart.

Have you ever Heard this Ugly Side of Fennel Seeds?

Introduction

A good number of us are familiar with fennel seeds and do take as tea too.  I love to take most times because it helps to boost  digestive juice production.  It also helps tackle constipation.  If you are trying  to fight weight gain, it helps also  and it's a source of calcium it has also  almost zero calorie and helps boost metabolism.

This Ugly Side of Fennel Seeds Shocked me

Fennel seeds has  been one of my seeds and I do also recommend it to people who are managing diabetes and who want to lose weight but there is an aspect of fennel seeds which is new to me after reading recently from the website of healthnewa.com and it really pulled my mind and I thought also to share it here and that is the compound found in fennel seeds   known as a Estragol.  I have also  taken a little extra  time to read some other websites to investigate and know more about the compound.  It is really interesting to note that they all seem to agree on this point.  The Seeds have a very strong flavour which helps with the people who are going through or  experiencing mouth order or mouth odour as it helps to reduce such experiences and here we have this compound which is said to be found in fennel seed in a good amount and several other studies have now also confirm that the compound Estragol and found in this seeds  has some carcinogenic effect as some rats that were tested with it also developed liver cancer.

It Remains a Healthy Seed that Should be taken Cautiously.

It is  actually an  an eye-opener for me and it's something that really touched me but not too surprised because every healthy food must have its ugly side too.  It worth sharing here though not so deep but, it  is what hearing.   There are several other research and compounds that are found in various seeds also but as we talk about the health benefits of these seeds,  it is also important to highlight some of the dangerous compounds in them to help us take them moderately, the information is not to scare us or to make us to avoid the seed completely as  a lot of other seeds have various compounds as research says that are also not healthy or may prove dangerous if taken in very large amount too.   one thing I have known about the seeds that seeds are very  rich in nutrients powerful too, they are tiny but  are powerful and should be consumed moderately we should not look down on the seeds and then begin to take them in large amount, an example is fennel seeds. Cumin seed is also another healthy and calming seed with numerous health benefits but honestly if you take too much, you wont live the seed again even without knowing or reading about any study or research on it.  Fennel is one of such seeds,   my view about fennel seeds however is to continue to enjoy it in moderation.

My Position Now

Also talking to myself is to reduce its consumption.  It  is good to remain in the diet as I have been enjoying it specially in aspect of constipation and in the area of reducing weight but we should also not make it to be too frequent three or  four times a week may not be too much in my view and it is also important to know that running away from fennel seed is not the reason for this post but to encourage us to be moderate  in its consumption.

Not only Fennel Seeds, but others too

Itb is not only with fennel seeds but with all others it is  because most seeds including basil, cumin or  even vegetables have one thing or the other that are also protecting the seed or  other vegetables not to be consumed too much so whichever way we should take this seed moderately because they are rich in nutrients including fennel seeds.  It is a great source of nutrients like calcium,  iron and I also enjoy it but  also know that without reading this article I've always known that whenever I take it too much it's not always pleasant to me.  Our body usually inform or communicate us of these dangerous compounds even before scientific inventions, laboratories and researchers came up.   Moderation should always be our rule  with fennel seed and with all other seeds.

Summary:

So don't be scared about fennel seeds.  continue to enjoy it moderately especially for those who need to lose weight,  those who need to fight constipation, if you are looking for to boost your iron,  calcium or dealing with mouth odour, it has  several other nutrients. However, in view of the liver cancer which the rats that were tested developed, I will advise those dealing with liver issues or even liver cancer to avoid the seeds or reduce its consumption.   but I will apply a little caution  more with this knowledge that I have added and will continue also to share such experiences that has to do with most of the ugly sides of some of our healthy seeds, nuts and other foods as well.  Moderation remains our rule when consuming any food.

Obesity, Attack Fat before It attacks you. Top Foods to Kill Fat

Introduction

Obesity is on the increase despite all the awareness on exercising weight loss foods and a lot of trending issues to help reduce fat and obesity but shockingly we are having more of it on the increase we now have even childhood obesity  male obesity before now only women were mostly affected by obesity. Excess body fat does not happen overnight it is a habit and Lifestyle that cumulatively ends up as obesity.   It  begins gradually and sometimes  as a result of neglect and indiscipline on the part of the obese person.   Obesity is preventable. it all depends on the individual, a lot of people were  very fat at one time and  at another time they lost the fat because they were determined to do so.  I also happen to be in that category but  have done it successfully.    it is important also to share how I did it and some of the top foods that can help us  reduce weight generally even if itcruns in tour family.

Why we must reduce fat and avoid obesity

Poses  Danger to our Health:

Being obese has many dangers or disadvantages but the most serious disadvantage or danger of being too fat is the danger it poses to our overall health this is actually to me the only reason why we must as much as possible avoid the danger of being obese.

Those at risk of obesity:

Although it runs in some families but some can also avoid it despite the gene or the family Gene of being overweight .   those people from such a family where  the father and the mother are fat it is most likely that their offspring will be fat too but something can be done.

Another people that are two risk are those that sit at a place that does not exercise enough lack of exercise can cause fat accumulation and overtime it can grow and grow until the person becomes obese.

Food choices

Most food that people that are fat  today right from childhood are foods that are not so dense in nutrition but lead  to excess body weight.  most of the foods are loaded with sugar preservatives flavours and all the stuff that leads to weight gain.   This is one of the top sponsors of weight gain.  if you are in the category of people who like fast foods, sugary foods,  who love biscuits bread, and all such sweet foods then you are also at risk of gradually gaining weight gaining weight until you become very fat whether you are a male or a female those who engage in this type of sugary foods like  cakes are  also at risk of gaining weight gradually.  Until it gets out of hand.

Another group of people are the menopausal women they  also tend to gain weight during the years of menopause many women add weight more because of the new life but something can still also be done.   We noticed that after the menstrual flow on the menstrual periods ends women tend to add weight so those women who are in  this category can also be aware and watch out for it and then guard against it by exercising more and including  foods that will help to burn fat.or boost metabolism.

Pregnant women also pregnancy induced fat is also another category of people that gains weight but most of the women tend to lose the fat after delivery but  other group of people do not  lose it, they continued to gain fat continue to add it from there until the clothes may no longer size them.

Food Lovers and Heavy Eaters.

Another group of people who are at risk  are those who are frequently eating, heavy eaters  always chewing  something or eating too often also opens the door for obesity when we do not allow enough time or hours before the next meal yes this category of people will also experience weight gain which may lead to obesity if not controlled.

Another group are those who love to eat very large quantity it is noticed and observed that most obese persons love food a lot and they eat large portions of food which is the reason usually why they ended up with obesity we have seen many of them who became so far that they cannot move again that is what fat can do some have gone for  surgeries in order to remove fat but it's something that we can do naturally without risking our lives in the surgery room.

Top Foods that Contributes to weight Gain Here are the top foods thatvsupports weight gain:

fried foods

sugary foods

processed foods

 oily foods

high calorie foods

carbonated drinks. Not exercising is one of the top sponsors of weight too.

Top Foods to Help You loose Weight

The first step to weight loss irrespective of how fat or long the fat has been with you you can still take them down by Simply taking out all carbohydrates away from your diet this is the very first step to take I tried it about 12 years ago and it worked.  Only sweet potatoes and oats were my carbs once in a while, the rest were proteins and fats and it worked.  It  is difficult though. Take out  simple and complex carbs and then you have switch on the key to losing weight because weight loss is not easy especially if the fat  has been with you for long there are also different locations of fat.   Some are around the belly and we know that there are   about three layers or locations of fat in our body.

1.  The Essential  fats:  As the word implies, it is essential and needed at all levels in our body as they also protect other organs and bones in a way.

2.  Subcutaneous fats:  These are fats under the skin

3.  Visceral fath are found around organs, they also contribute to belly fat and is said to be the worst kind of fat location.  It takes time to break through one layer and move to another layer like the subcutaneous fat.  Varying foods and foods can be taken to target certain location of fat, for instance, boil egg targets visceral fat, also cold pressed olive and coconut oil, green apples also targets the belly fat, there are other foods, fruits and vegetables to help remove fat even at all levels.  Here are my top fat burning foods:

Top Health Benefits of Guava Leaves Tea

Introduction

Many years ago, not much was known of the benefits of guava leaves tea.  Only the fruits were  eaten  but today research has revealed that the leaves is as rich as the fruit and particularly for managing certain elements that will be narrated in this post , so if you have been throwing the leaves away and consuming only the fruit,  here are top reasons why you should stop and start consuming guava leaves  tea as one of your immune boosting low calorie teas.

1.  Lowering blood sugar:

This is one of the best benefits I have known recently of the uses of guava leaves whether fresh or dried leaves.   Just adding a few of the leaves in a pot of freshly boil water or just boiling  for about 5 minutes  in the water boil as you would other teaa and then allowed to cool and drink,  a glass is okay or even half a glass is enough, you will notice after few hours a drop in your blood sugar, if you have diabetes or you are a pre-diabetic, you will notice a drop in your blood sugar and you will feel better generally.

2.  Reduces Weight:

if you are working to reduce weight, this is one of the fastest and safest drink to burn fat  because also a source of iron.  it is great as a fat-burning tea for those who want to lose weight but there is something important you need to know which is the inclusion of rich protein diet when using this tea to burn fat, rich protein especially plant based protein provides  a great support for the muscles while the fat goes out.

3.  Balancing hormones:

This is particularly important for women who are in their pre menopause,  menopause or post menopause years.   This tea is beneficial for so many reasons because of its  ability to balance hormones and to reduce inflammations generally in the body.

4.  Source of Iron:

It is a source of naturally occurring iron for those who need a food to boost their iron, it is better to use natural foods like guava leaves tea which is easy to get and also no side effect just boost your iron using this tea you will notice a difference if you go and check it is a source of  non inflammatory, non synthetic and natural  iron with other nutrientsthatvwill support its absorption.   synthetic/ pharmaceutical  irons is not advised for all, especially for older adults.

5.  Improve Sleep:

When sleep is disrupted, healthy body is affected.  For those who suffer insomnia, this is one of the teas to embrace. I particularly love this tea for this particular benefit but you must take it in moderation.   Just boil a few leaves whether fresh or dried but if it is dried don't allow it to dry for too long especially when it's exposed I noticed that when it is exposed and been open for  more than 10 days, the effect will not be there and when the flavour is gone I noticed also that the potency is almost gone, so it is best to use it fresh but if  dried don't use it when the flavour is still there I have personally tried it in the house and noticed that once  it is no longer having that beautiful and inviting flavor it doesn't always feel good again as you take it.

6.  Wards off Cough:

It also fight cough,  yes I have tested it in this area too if you have a feeling of cough or time maybe have consumed something that may trigger cough something like on or some greens and you are having that tickle in your throat is better to quickly go check this thing if you have it around boil and drink it will it will work it off back it will melt away all the tears and all the a fibre or whatever that is there that is trying to give rise or to trigger the cough it works specially when the cough is just about to take off it also kills

 7.  Improves  Oral  Health:

Oral bacteria is a health problem often neglected by many.  Many bacteria that attack us while we are asleep actually reside in the mouth, drinking guava leaves tea or using it as a mouth rinse will reduce oral and dental issues, such as mouth odour, tooth, and gum disease.   Besides the tea tastes  and naturally comes with its own good flavor.  Additionally has natural antibacterial properties.

8. Anti diarrheas' Properties:

Diarrhoea is one of the ailments that is so difficult to find a home  remedy  when it strikes.  It seems easier to manage constipation than to manage diarrhoea especially for older adults, like diabetics ans prediabetics.   Yes.  younger adults can easily find home remedies   but this tea  is known to contain natural properties that kills bacteria s that  may make diarrhea worse. Sugar which is often also destroyed by the tea is one of the major feeders of diseases.

9.  Fights Acne and Blackheads:
