The kidney is a very important organ helping remove toxins and performing  other  important functions in the body.  It is therefore important to keep it healthy and strong by consuming foods that supports its function.  There are foods and habits that hurts the kidney and top on the least of foods that hurt the kidney are:

1.  High sodium diet. 

Sodium is a very important electrolyte in the body helping our organs perform numerous functions.  It is important to include at least one serving of salt in our diet.  There are natural foods that contain salt and we also have sea salt, refined table salt.  When watching our salt intake for health reasons such as kidney, it is important to go the healthier way and sea salt in moderation is better that refined table salt.

2.  Reduce Potassium: 

In as potassium is needed for regulating body temperature and other functions, those with kidney issues should reduce their potassium consumption to avoid high levels in the blood.

3.  Reduce Phosphorus

Excess of this is harmful particularly for kidney health.
